Former Chicago Blackhawks forward and current Radio Color Analyst Troy Murray will be honored with "One More Shift" as he takes the United Center ice on Wednesday, Feb. 21, prior to the Blackhawks game against the Ottawa Senators at 7:00 p.m. The Blackhawks are once again honoring past alumni with "One More Shift" this season, an ode to former players that allows fans to recognize them one more time as they skate on the ice.
Murray was originally selected by the Blackhawks in the third round (57th overall) of the 1980 NHL Draft. He played parts of 12 seasons with the Blackhawks (1981-91, 1992-94), compiling 197 goals and 291 assists in 688 games. He posted his best year in the NHL with Chicago during the 1985-86 campaign, becoming the first Blackhawk to win the Frank J. Selke Award as the NHL's top defensive forward that year, notching career highs in goals (45), assists (54) and points (99).
