Team USA announced that Chicago Blackhawks prospects forwards Gavin Hayes, Oliver Moore, Frank Nazar and defenseman Sam Rinzel made the final roster for the 2024 World Junior Tournament. This will be their first appearance in the tournament. The competition takes place from Dec. 26-Jan. 5 in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Hayes moved into second place for all-time scoring in Flint Firebird history with 165 points (79G, 86A) in his third season with the team back on Dec. 2. He currently leads all Firebird skaters and Blackhawks prospects with 36 points (19G, 17A) through 27 games.

In his second season with Michigan, Nazar ranks eighth among all Big Ten skaters with 188 face-off wins and fifth in face-off win percentage (.566) through 18 games. He also ranks sixth in points (17) among Wolverine skaters.

Over with Minnesota, Moore recorded 12 points (2G, 10A) in 18 games. He is tied for first with teammate and fellow prospect, Sam Rinzel, in assists among Minnesota skaters and ranks sixth on the team in points. 

Rinzel also leads all Minnesota blueliners with his 11 points (1G, 10A) in 18 games this season. 

Blackhawks prospects Adam Gajan and Martin Misiak are also on the preliminary roster for Team Slovakia with final rosters to be announced soon.
