BLUES AT JETS

TEAM SNAPSHOTS

BLUES The Blues had a 2-0 lead against the Edmonton Oilers after one period on Wednesday night at Enterprise Center, but the Oilers battled back and tied the game at 2-2 with under a minute remaining in regulation.
Edmonton would eventually take a 3-2 shootout win.
"It happens when you sit back and play defense as soon as you get the lead," Blues forward Brayden Schenn said after the game. "We sat back as soon as we were up 2-0 the whole night, let them come at us and eventually they're going to tie the game, which they did."
"The game never should have gotten to overtime," goalie Jake Allen added. "It's unfortunate it did."
Alexander Steen (concussion symptoms) joined the Blues on their trip to Winnipeg on Thursday. Blues Head Coach Craig Berube said Steen would be a game-time decision on Friday.

Vitale, Pang preview tonight's matchup vs. the Jets

JETS Jacob Trouba and Adam Lowry scored 22 seconds apart early in the third period on Tuesday night to lift the Winnipeg Jets to a 3-1 win against the New York Islanders in Brooklyn.
It was Winnipeg's fourth consecutive victory.
The Jets played without defensemen Dustin Byfuglien, who has been out since Nov. 27 with a concussion, and Josh Morrissey, who missed Tuesday's game with a lower-body injury. Morrissey is considered day-to-day.
"I thought we did a real good job of defending tonight," Lowry told NHL.com. "We didn't really give up a whole lot. That's important when you're missing a couple of your stars on the back end."
