MONTREAL -- Joel Armia and the Finns edged the Latvians 2-1 on Saturday at the IIHF World Championship.

Mikael Granlund scored the game-winner with 2:52 remaining in regulation at Nokia Arena.

It was Finland's second consecutive victory to begin the tournament.
Armia registered one shot on goal while logging 16:43 of ice time.
Meanwhile, goaltender Frederik Dichow didn't play in Denmark's 9-1 triumph over Kazakhstan.
