ARLINGTON, VA - NBC Sports Washington (NBCSW), the Washington Capitals and the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association (PWHPA) announced today that the Capitals exclusive local TV rightsholder will serve as the official broadcaster of the upcoming Capitals PWHPA Showcase on NBC Sports Washington. In addition, TSN will also be airing the entire NBCSW broadcast for Canadian viewers on both days on TSN,

, and the TSN app, while nationally the games will be available on NHL Network. Leidos and ThunderCat with Dell Technologies serve as the Capitals PWHPA Showcase sponsors, as well as sponsors of a special show on women in hockey, Caps Pre-Game Live: Celebrating Women in Hockey.

The PWHPA will play four games of the 2022-23 Secret Dream Gap Tour from March 4-5 at MedStar Capitals Iceplex. This is the second consecutive year the Capitals will host a stop in the Secret Dream Gap Tour. In addition, the Capitals will also host on-ice clinics for girls and an adult chalk talk March 2-3.
Game coverage begins on NBC Sports Washington and TSN at 11 a.m. on March 4, when Team Harvey's plays Team adidas in Game 1. The matchup will be followed by Team Scotiabank and Team Sonnet facing off at 2 p.m. in Game 2. On March 5, Team Sonnet will take on Team Harvey's at 11 a.m. in Game 3. Game 4 will take place later that day at 2 p.m. with Team adidas playing Team Scotiabank. In-depth coverage will also be available online at

The broadcast team will consist of play-by-play voice Kenzie Lalonde of TSN, alongside analyst Liz Knox and rinkside reporter Courtney Laughlin.
In addition, Caps Pre-Game Live: Celebrating Women in Hockey, will air on NBC Sports Washington and TSN on both Saturday and Sunday in between games. NHL Network will air the special between games on Saturday. Capitals pre- and post-game show host Alexa Landestoy will serve as the special's host.
Founded in 2019, the PWHPA is comprised of over 100 of the world's best female hockey players and was formed with the goal of creating a sustainable league that provides equity, fairness, and opportunity in women's professional hockey. The PWHPA is currently comprised of four teams: Team adidas, Team Harvey's, Team Sonnet, and Team Scotiabank.
More than 40 Team USA and Team Canada Olympians will be part of the tour, and the showcase will serve as the final weekend of the PWHPA regular season prior to the playoffs.

Individual day passes to two games will be available for $35, along with a weekend pass to all four games for $50.
In addition to these games, the Capitals and the PWHPA will present two clinics and one chalk talk opportunity for local women and girls. PWHPA athletes and coaches will lead instruction for both clinics as well as the adult chalk talk.
Registration is open for a March 2 high school clinic, a March 3 youth clinic, and a March 3 adult chalk talk. The adult chalk talk will feature PWHPA Lead Operations Consultant and former Olympian Jayna Hefford, among other PWHPA athletes and staff. Clinic and chalk talk participants will receive a complimentary showcase weekend pass, as well as exclusive event items and experiences.
On Saturday, March 4, The 2023 PWHPA Awards presented by Leidos and ThunderCat with Dell Technologies will take place at the Westin Arlington Hotel. This marks the first time the PWHPA has handed out year-end awards- nominees will be announced via social media on March 1. Media are invited to attend the red carpet from 7-7:30 p.m. and should RSVP to Nick Grossman and Ashley McLellan.
