PRESS RELEASE - The Flames announced today their 2018-19 regular season schedule. Calgary opens the '18-'19 campaign on the road in Vancouver at Rogers Arena on Wednesday, October 3rd before returning to Calgary to face the Canucks for the Flames home opener at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday, October 6th.

The Flames will play each divisional opponent four times, with the exception of Vancouver who they will face in five games, two in Calgary and three in Vancouver. Calgary will play each Central Division opponent three times and will play all Eastern Conference opponents twice (once home and once away).
The Flames host the San Jose Sharks on New Year's Eve on Monday, December 31st. The Christmas schedule also includes home games against Minnesota (December 6th), Nashville (December 8th), Philadelphia (December 12th), Tampa Bay (December 20th), St.Louis (December 22nd) and Vancouver (December 29th).
Calgary's longest home stand this season is four games starting November 15th through November 21st as the Flames host Montreal, Edmonton, Vegas and Winnipeg.
Calgary has a pair of four game road trips which are the longest of the season. The first starts on January 2nd in Detroit, with stops in Boston, Philadelphia and finishing in Chicago on January 7th. The second four game trip starts February 9th in Vancouver before heading to Tampa Bay, Florida and finishes in Pittsburgh on February 16th.
The Eastern Conference Canadian teams will play at the Scotiabank Saddledome once each with Montreal on November 15th, Toronto coming on March 4th and Ottawa on March 21st.
The Flames will travel to face the three Canadian teams in the Eastern Conference in Montreal on October 23rd, Toronto on October 29th and in Ottawa on February 24th. Calgary will also travel to Winnipeg twice to face their Western Conference rival on December 27th and March 16th and will host them once at the Scotiabank Saddledome on November 21st. The Flames have four meetings with Edmonton (at home on November 17th and April 6th and on the road on December 9th and January 19th) and five meetings with Vancouver (at home on October 6th and December 29th and on the road on October 3rd, February 9th and March 23rd).
The day-by-day breakdown is as follows: Monday (8), Tuesday (10), Wednesday (14), Thursday (12), Friday (9), Saturday (18) and Sunday (11). Other schedule notables include hosting the defending Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals on October 27th and visiting the Capitals on February 1st. Calgary plays back-to-back 10 times and the schedule features 20 home stands and 19 road trips.
The Calgary Flames will break for the NHL All-Star Weekend hosted by San Jose from January 23rd - 26th and they will extend that with the addition of their five-day break January 27th - 31st.
All Flames home and away games will be carried live on radio, Sportsnet 960 The FAN. The complete Rogers Sportsnet television schedule will be released in August.
