I have been a teacher for over 20 years, teaching software engineering to middle school students (grades 6, 7, 8) for the last 11 years. I come from a line of teachers in my family and love the connection to the students that keeps me energized every day. Watching my students discover how to create on the computer and the look of achievement on their faces is priceless.
I am also chairman of the board for the Co-op I live in and am the president of a 99-year-old (non-profit) local marching band, and Vice-Chair of the Pastoral Counsel for Blessed Trinity Parish.
What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?
I love how the math brings in real life situations and the students look at the rink and other aspects of hockey in a "math" light.
