ST. PAUL, Minn. - Clayton Keller scored with 1:05 remaining in overtime, and the Arizona Coyotes defeated the Minnesota Wild 4-3 at Xcel Energy Center on Thursday.

Arizona (13-32-9) rallied after trailing 3-0 midway through the second period to end a four-game losing streak.
"Well that was a good, gutsy win," Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet said. "We picked up the pace, we had puck possession, and guys started believing what we were doing out there."

With Arizona goaltender Antti Raanta pulled for the extra skater, Nick Cousins tied the game 3-3 with 18.3 seconds remaining, one-timing a cross-crease pass from Derek Stepan past Devan Dubnyk from the low right slot. Cousins had two goals, and Stepan and Alex Goligoski each had two assists for the Coyotes.
Matt Cullen, Eric Staal and Mike Reilly scored for Minnesota (29-19-6), which is 8-0-3 in its past 11 home games.
Minnesota took a 1-0 lead at 17:13 of the first period after Staal redirected Jared Spurgeon's pass from between the circles past Raanta.
Cullen scored on the breakaway at 5:54 of the second period to make it 2-0 after receiving a stretch pass from Matt Dumba, splitting two defensemen, and scoring with a backhand.
Reilly scored his first goal of the season at 9:59 to extend Minnesota's lead to 3-0.

"Even at 3-0 I wasn't comfortable," Wild coach Bruce Boudreau said. "I mean, we weren't skating, they were beating us to every puck, they were outworking us. Even though we got three goals, it wasn't a 3-0 game at the time."
Cousins made it 3-1 at 11:30 after one-timing a cross-ice pass from Goligoski.
Kevin Connauton scored at 8:02 of the third period to cut it to 3-2, beating Dubnyk low glove side from the left circle.
"I think on the road, if you can score late in any period, it doesn't matter what it is, you sort of carry the momentum," Cousins said. "I thought, obviously, we carried play in the third period. It was nice to get one there."
Dubnyk made 36 saves for the Wild. Raanta made 25 saves for the Coyotes.
"[Arizona's] an NHL hockey team. It's not preseason," Dubnyk said. "They work hard. They got a bunch of young guys that are fighting for ice time and roles, and they worked hard. If you keep giving them the puck, bad things are going to happen."

They said it

"It's been a tough year wins-and-losses-wise. I think it's important that we bottle up these feelings and remember how nice it is to come in here after a win, and try to really make a push for locking up a lot of those towards the end of the season." -- Coyotes defenseman Kevin Connauton
"It's a missed opportunity. We can't be giving away points, especially with where we sit in the standings. But at this time of the year, you have to turn the page in a hurry. We have a real big one coming up (against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday), but we all understand that was a missed opportunity and hopefully that'll be a little bit of fire for next game." -- Wild forward Matt Cullen
