The legends came out to congratulate a legend.

Bob Miller, long time broadcaster for the Los Angeles Kings, was honored with a statue of his likeness outside of Staples Center Saturday.
Miller, who started in 1973 as Kings play-by-play man before retiring after last season, heard from his fellow statue honorees.
The Great One, Wayne Gretzky, paid his respects to Miller.

Hall of Famer Luc Robitaille also wished him well.

Magic Johnson, the Basketball Hall of Famer who spent his entire career with the Los Angeles Lakers, had some high praise for Miller.

The NBA's all-time leading scorer, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, also a long-time Laker, welcomed Miller to the club.

Lakers legend Jerry West also chimed in with the highest of praise.

Shaquille O'Neal had some kind words for his good friend.

And the Golden Boy, boxer Oscar De La Hoya, also made a tribute video.

The Kings also raised a banner, featuring Miller's name and a microphone, to the Staples Center rafters. He is the seventh person to get a banner from the Kings.
