The Colorado Avalanche have a new fan: Von Miller.
The Denver Broncos All-Pro linebacker found himself marveling at the players on the ice after attending the Avalanche's 5-3 win against the Nashville Predators in Game 3 of the Western Conference First Round at Pepsi Center on Monday. "That was great; that was great," Miller told reporters Tuesday. "Those guys reeled me in out there. … the energy was crazy, whole bunch of tough guys skating around on the ice. It was dope. I'm a fan."
The Broncos' star linebacker has a new respect for hockey players after coming to last night's game...
Miller served as Colorado's hype man at the Avalanche's first Stanley Cup Playoff home game for 2018, sitting on the glass, donning an Avalanche hat and jersey and toting a sign that said "Let's Make Noise."
Miller, the MVP of Super Bowl 50 who has 83.5 sacks in his seven-season NFL career, found himself particularly in awe of the toughness on the ice. "Those are true tough guys," Miller said. "It's a tough sport. I've got a new-found respect for those guys."
