BOSTON -Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, March 26, that the team has assigned goaltender Zane McIntyre to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL).
McIntyre, 24, has played in eight games with Boston in 2016-17, posting a 0-4-1 record with a 3.97 goals against average and .858 save percentage. He has also appeared in 23 games for Providence this season, compiling a 16-4-1 record with a 2.03 goals against average and .931 save percentage. McIntyre leads the AHL in both goals against average and save percentage. The 6-foot-2, 206-pound netminder was also selected to play in the 2017 AHL All-Star Game.
