The Buffalo Sabres have created TikTok's next viral trend.
The Sabres attempted to hold nine hockey pucks in one hand in honor of their nine-goal game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday. An array of different strategies and grips were used which ultimately led to the pucks slipping out of most of the Sabres' hands.
Tage Thompson, who scored five goals in the 9-4 win, struggled to get a grip on the pucks. But Casey Mittelstadt successfully did with his right hand. "My pinky is going to fall off," Mittelstadt said as he held on. Alex Tuch blamed the slipperiness of the pucks for his struggles. It will not be long until all the influencers hop on the nine-puck challenge trend.
