Djoos

Christian Djoos made the most of his rookie season, so you knew he was going to make the most out of his day with the Stanley Cup.

The Washington Capitals defenseman took the Cup home to his native Sweden, visited just about everywhere he possibly could have and had veteran teammate Nicklas Backstrom by his side.
Djoos brought the Cup to his childhood home and posed for a picture in front of his first-ever hockey net.

Djoos and his father, former NHL player Per Djoos, took an opportunity to hold the Cup together.

Djoos and Backstrom then took the Cup to Gavlerinken, the site of their Swedish Hockey League team. Alums were out in full force as the Cup was placed at center ice.

Also on the agenda was a stop at the Gavle Fire Department.

Djoos even got a new nickname out of it, complete with T-shirt.

And, of course, as has been a running theme for the Capitals, there was a keg stand out of the Cup.
