BOS@VGK: Kurt Busch on watching the game up close

Kurt Busch is used to watching cars go fast, but he got to watch fast hockey players on ice Wednesday.

The 2017 Daytona 500 winner and Las Vegas native was "Inside the Glass" next to Pierre McGuire during the second period of the Boston Bruins game against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Busch, who has 30 NASCAR wins and finished 25th at Daytona on Sunday, was at T-Mobile Arena to crank the pregame siren Wednesday. He jumped on the NBCSN telecast, where he quickly became engrossed in the action.
"This is intense," Busch told McGuire. "I've never seen hockey this close. The way that these athletes, the passion they put into this game, I'm impressed. I've never seen it like this."
NBC cameras caught Busch trying to chat up Bruins captain Zdeno Chara, to no avail. Still, Busch was definitely entertained.
"You feel the athleticism and the players and the intensity," he said. "I love this."
