The Washington Capitals' forward scored with two seconds remaining for a 4-3 win against the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday. It's the latest go-ahead regulation goal in franchise history, eclipsing the mark set by Alexander Semin (59.49) in a 3-2 win on Nov. 6, 2008, also against the Hurricanes.
