Flames prospect Mathias Emilio Pettersen helped propel Norway to a 5-0 win over France on Wednesday at the 2018 IIHF Div. A World Junior Championship.
The winger registered one goal and one assist in the victory, his first points at the tournament. Norway is 1-2-0 in their first three games, dropping their opening two match-ups: 5-3 to Belarus on Dec. 9 and 4-0 to Germany on Dec. 10.
Norway's remaining schedule is as follows:
Dec. 14 vs. Latvia
Dec. 15 vs. Austria
The Flames drafted Pettersen in the sixth round, 167th overall, in the 2018 NHL Draft. He's in the midst of his freshman season with Denver University, scoring 5 goals and 15 points in the first 14 games of his collegiate career.
