Tim Gettinger, LW, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (OHL) - Gettinger registered four points (one goal, three assists) and recorded nine shots on goal in three games during the week. Gettinger, who was named Sault Ste. Marie's captain last week, tallied three points (one goal, two assists) and posted a plus-two rating on Oct. 22 against Guelph. The Rangers' fifth round pick (141st overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft has recorded 15 points (six goals, nine assists) in 13 games with Sault Ste. Marie thus far in 2017-18. Gettinger ranks third in the OHL in shots on goal (54) this season. He leads Sault Ste. Marie in shots on goal, is tied for the team lead in power play goals (three), ranks second in points (15), is tied for second in assists (nine), and is tied for third in goals (six) this season.

Lias Andersson, C, Frolunda Indians (SHL) - Andersson registered two goals, tied for the game-high with four shots on goal, won 70.0% of faceoffs he took, and posted a plus-one rating on Oct. 17 against Orebro. The Rangers' first round pick (seventh overall) in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft tallied his first goal/point with Frolunda in Swedish Hockey League (SHL) action in the contest. On Oct. 21, Frolunda retired the number of Andersson's father, Niklas, in a pre-game ceremony.

Emerging from the Pack

Filip Chytil registered an assist and tied for the game-high with five shots on goal on Oct. 20 vs. Belleville. The Rangers' first round pick (21st overall) in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft has recorded four points (one goal, three assists) and has posted a plus-four rating in four games with the Wolf Pack this season. Chytil leads Hartford in points per game (1.00) and plus/minus rating in 2017-18.

Cole Schneider tallied a point in all three of Hartford's games during the week, recording three points (one goal, two assists) over the three contests. He extended his point streak to five games (two goals, three assists) and has registered a point in six of seven games with the Wolf Pack thus far this season. Schneider, who signed with the Rangers as a free agent on July 1, 2017, is tied for the team lead in points (six) and ranks second on Hartford in goals (three) this season.

Adam Tambellini tallied a point in two of three games during the past week (one goal, one assist). The Rangers' third round pick (65th overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft has recorded a point in five of seven games thus far this season (four goals, one assist). Tambellini leads Hartford in goals and shots on goal (23), and ranks fourth on the team in points (five) thus far in 2017-18.

Vince Pedrie made his season debut on Oct. 20 vs. Belleville, and he recorded two points (one goal, one assist) in three games during the week. He registered his first career AHL/professional goal on Oct. 22 at Bridgeport.

Alexandar Georgiev stopped 41 of 43 shots he faced in regulation and overtime to help the Wolf Pack earn a point on Oct. 21 at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Brandon Crawley recorded his first career AHL/professional goal/point on Oct. 22 at Bridgeport.

Sean Day, D, Windsor Spitfires (OHL) - Day recorded an assist in both of Windsor's games during the week, tallying two points (one goal, one assist). The Rangers' third round pick (81st overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft extended his point streak to four games (one goal, three assists over the span). Day is tied for fifth on the Spitfires - and ranks second among team defensemen - in assists this season (four). He is also tied for fourth on the team - and leads team defensemen - in shots on goal in 2017-18 (23).

Adam Huska, G, University of Connecticut (NCAA) - Huska made 33 saves and helped UConn play to a 2-2 tie against Boston University on Oct. 20. The Rangers' seventh round pick (184th overall) in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft has made at least 30 saves in 15 of 27 career collegiate appearances.

Igor Shesterkin, G, SKA St. Petersburg (KHL) - Shesterkin earned a win in both of his appearances during the week. He has posted a 16-0-1 record, along with a 1.38 GAA, a .948 SV%, and 4 SO in 17 appearances this season. Shesterkin has allowed one goal or fewer in 11 of his 17 appearances in 2017-18. The Rangers' fourth round pick (118th overall) in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft has registered a 47-4-2 record, along with a 1.56 GAA, a .940 SV%, and 12 SO in 56 appearances since the start of last season. Shesterkin is tied for the league lead in wins (16), ranks second in the KHL in GAA (1.38) and SV% (.948), and is tied for second in the league in shutouts (four) thus far in 2017-18.

Patrik Virta, C, TPS (Liiga) - Virta registered a point in each of TPS' two games during the week. The Rangers' seventh round pick (207th overall) in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft extended his point streak to three games (two goals, one assist), and he has tallied five points (two goals, three assists) in the last five games. Virta has registered 11 points (three goals, eight assists) and a plus-three rating in 15 games with TPS this season. Virta ranks second on TPS in assists, is tied for third in points, ranks fourth in shots on goal (53), and is tied for fifth in plus/minus rating thus far in 2017-18.
