Blue Jackets fans certainly remembered that fact Sunday as the former CBJ captain and his family were present to drop the ceremonial puck before the Blue Jackets' game against the Rangers two days after Nash formally announced his retirement from the game because of the lingering effects of concussions.

Nash, the Blue Jackets' all-time leader in every major statistical category, was showered with adoration from the Nationwide Arena crowd as he walked to center ice with his family. It was a special scene in Nationwide Arena as all 20 members of each team, the two Nash spent the bulk of his 15-year career with, stood on each team's blue line for the ceremony.
