VAN@NYI: Kuhnhackl whips home shot after falling

No footing, no problem.

Tom Kuhnhackl didn't even need to see the net to score his second goal of the season on Tuesday during the New York Islanders' 5-2 win against the Vancouver Canucks.
After getting tripped up by Canucks defenseman Ben Hutton and landing on his side with his back to the net, Kuhnhackl took a blind whack at the puck and rolled over in time to watch it get to the net.
But Kuhnhackl, like the officials who took a brief moment before ruling it a goal, didn't immediately see the end result of the play.
"I looked at Leo (Komarov), because he came over and he said, 'Hey, you scored.' I didn't even realize for another 10 seconds that it went in," Kuhnhackl said.
There's no way he could've predicted that his shot would actually go in, but Kuhnhackl just let it rip from the most precarious of positions and it paid off.
"Obviously it's a lot of luck that the puck somehow squeezes in," he said. "But I heard good things happen when you throw pucks on net, so I might as well try and throw pucks there."
