PHI@NYR: Strange scenario causes stoppage in play

Erik Johnson wasn't mic'd up on Thursday, he was headphone'd up.

The Philadelphia Flyers defenseman finished serving his penalty and as he left the box, got a headphone wire caught around his skate.

Johnson had no idea what was caught on his skate when the play was blown dead to the players' surprise.

NBC Sports Philly made the tissue paper on the shoe joke and it seemed pretty accurate.

You have to imagine Johnson is going to be checking his skates the next few times he leaves the box.
