The Memorial Cup, a four-team round-robin tournament to determine the champion of the Canadian Hockey League, features the winners of the Ontario Hockey League (Hamilton Bulldogs), Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (Acadie-Bathurst Titan) and Western Hockey League (Swift Current Broncos), and the host Regina Pats of the WHL. The event is being held at Brandt Center in Regina, Saskatchewan from May 18-27 and features several NHL-drafted prospects and some eligible for the 2018 NHL Draft.
In the second game of the Memorial Cup, Acadie-Bathurst defeated Swift Current 4-3 in overtime Saturday.
Here are three things we learned on the second day:

1. Dobson gets it done

Acadie-Bathurst defenseman Noah Dobson showed why he's No. 5 on NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of North American skaters for the 2018 NHL Draft with the play that set up Liam Murphy's goal at 2:58 of overtime.

Dobson got the puck at the right point, faked a shot to create space for himself, skated down the right side and as he carried it behind the Swift Current net, he made a backhand pass in front that Murphy banged in.
"He plays with a lot of confidence," Central Scouting's Troy Dumville said. "Good skater, moves the puck well, really jumping in and contributing to the offense."

2. Steenbergen questionable

Swift Current forward Tyler Steenbergen, a fifth-round pick (No. 128) by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2017 NHL Draft, left the game in the second period after a hard hit into the boards.
Steenbergen scored a power-play goal at 12:18 of the first period. He was third on Swift Current with 102 points (47 goals, 55 assists) and scored the game-winning goal for Canada in the gold-medal game at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship.
Swift Current coach Manny Viveiros said Steenbergen is day to day. They next play against Hamilton on Monday.

3. Estephan helps himself

Swift Current forward Giorgio Estephan, 21, is looking for a professional contract for next season. He made a solid impression in front of NHL scouts Saturday with two goals and an assist.
Estephan (6-foot, 196 pounds) assisted on Steenbergen's goal, then gave Swift Current a 2-1 lead with 1:01 left in the first period on a one-timer from the left face-off circle. He scored on his rebound in front with 48 seconds remaining in the second period to put Swift Current ahead 3-2.
Estephan was selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the sixth round (No. 152) of the 2015 NHL Draft but never signed.
