Before the game even started, it was a sweep.

The Minnesota Wild honored the U.S. Curling team, which won gold at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang last month.
The curling team dropped the puck at Xcel Energy before the Wild took on the Los Angeles Kings, conjuring up images the viral video when the team
opened the 2018 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series on March 3
when they slid a stone directly to center ice.
This ceremonial face-off had a twist, though. When Wild forward Zach Parise and Kings captain Anze Kopitar skated to center ice, they each exchanged their sticks for curling brooms.
U.S. team skipper John Shuster also dropped the puck in the style of a curling stone, which Parise, who like Shuster is a native of Minnesota, swept over and picked up.
The crowd serenaded the gold-medal clad curlers with chants of "USA!" during the ceremony.
