EDMONTON, AB – The Edmonton Oilers announced Monday they have recalled defenceman Philip Broberg from the AHL's Bakersfield Condors.

It's been a literal up-and-down past week for the 22-year-old Swedish blueliner as he was called up from the Condors last Tuesday, played the final two Oilers regular season games, and was loaned back to Bakersfield for their final games this weekend before making his way back up to Edmonton.

In those two games last week against the Arizona Coyotes and Colorado Avalanche, Broberg recorded two assists and averaged 17:05 time on ice. He then returned to the Condors and put up three assists on Saturday against the Henderson Silver Knights, giving him 38 points in 49 games with Bakersfield this season.

The eighth-overall pick from the 2019 NHL Draft has two goals and 11 assists in 81 career NHL games, and has also played 10 career games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
