EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have loaned defenceman Vincent Desharnais and forward Dylan Holloway to the AHL's Bakersfield Condors and activated forward Kailer Yamamoto off Long Term Injured Reserve (LTIR).
Desharnais missed Wednesday's shootout defeat to Detroit due to illness, but the 26-year-old has been an important addition to the Oilers since his recall from Bakersfield on Jan. 9 ahead of making his NHL debut two days later at the Honda Center against the Anaheim Ducks.
Edmonton has gone 9-1-2 in the 12 games this season where Desharnais has been in the lineup, with the Laval, QC product recording four assists, six shots, 17 penalty minutes and a +9 plus/minus rating.
Holloway has produced three goals and six assists in 51 games this campaign, including his first NHL goal back in November at Madison Square Garden against the New York Rangers. The Calgary, AB product recorded his first career multi-point game on Jan. 17 with two assists in a 7-2 victory over the Seattle Kraken.
Yamamoto is clear to return to the lineup on Friday when the Oilers host the Rangers at Rogers Place after missing the last 12 games due to injury. Yamamoto posted an assist in his last appearance on Jan. 12 in a 6-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks and has four goals and eight assists in 31 games this season.
