Keith Gretzky

Assistant General Manager - GM, Bakersfield Condors

Keith Gretzky was hired by the Oilers on July 2, 2016, after spending five years with the Boston Bruins. In this role, Gretzky serves as the General Manager of the team's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors, and works closely with Ken Holland, the President of Hockey Operations and General Manager.

The native of Brantford, Ont., served as the Director of Amateur Scouting for Boston in 2015-16 prior to joining the Oilers. Gretzky also served as an Amateur Scout with Boston for three years and spent time with the Arizona Coyotes scouting staff prior to joining the Bruins.

Gretzky joined the Phoenix/Arizona Coyotes as an amateur scout in 2001 and after five years in that position, he was named the club's Director of Amateur Scouting. He served from 2006-2011 in that capacity, overseeing all of the team's amateur scouting and running their NHL Draft.

As a player, Gretzky was selected in the third round, 56th overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1985 NHL Draft. He played six pro seasons in the AHL, IHL, ECHL and in Europe, after his junior career in the Ontario Hockey League. He retired as a player after the 1992-93 season and spent five seasons (1995-2000) coaching in Bakersfield (WCHL) and Asheville (UHL).
