Postcard-Game-5-16x9

Hey Panthers fans,
It feels good to be heading back to South Florida after that win last night in Boston.
Heading into overtime, we were calm and relaxed. We knew what we needed to do. We knew we needed to make plays and try and win it. We couldn't go into overtime just trying not to lose.

When you're in that situation, you either get it done or there's no future. You either do it or you don't. You just really have to stick with that mentality. It makes it easier to stay in the moment.
That's what we did.
On the game-winning goal, I saw Barky sealing the wall on the other side, so I thought I'd take the other wall so that wherever Ullmark put the puck we'd have a seal. I got it and just put it in front. To be honest, I actually was trying to pass it over to Barky, but it got deflected to Chucky.
In that moment, I felt like everything was happening in slow motion. I thought that I'd missed my pass, but Chucky came out of nowhere with a lot of speed and got it done. It was awesome. To see Chucky have that kind of composure in a crazy situation like that says a lot about his game.
Chucky has been unbelievable all year. He's one of the best players I've ever seen. He gets it done every night for us. He deserved a moment like that probably more than anybody on the team.

After that puck went in, it was just amazing. I think the last 10 goals he's scored, Chucky has kind of skated around all over the ice and we've had to chase him down. He's pretty fast when he scores. It was awesome to have that moment with everyone on the team after a big goal.
But if wasn't for that save at the end of the third period by Bob, we wouldn't even have had that chance.
Bob has been unbelievable all year. It seems like he comes up with timely saves all the time, and last night was no different. It's the same story with him. He's an unbelievable goalie, a great guy and a great teammate. We have two really good goalies on this team that we can count on.
The playoffs are just so much fun. These are all meaningful games. You play a lot of games during the regular season and sometimes it can get a little stagnant. But when you're in Boston and have a bunch of people booing you, it just makes it way more fun getting a win like that.
Like I said before, it just feels good to be coming home. I'm sure the Bruins weren't hoping it'd get this far and were looking to close it out last night. They probably wanted to stay home and rest up, but now we're bringing them back to South Florida and they're probably not too happy.
We wanted to bring it home, and we did.
See you in Sunrise for Game 6 on Friday,
