The Pittsburgh Penguins are honored to salute our military heroes on Tuesday night. Some of the initiatives for the evening include:
Fans are encouraged to use #PensThanks leading up to and during Tuesday night's game to honor a hero. Share a photo with an active-duty, reserved, veteran or retired service member to show your appreciation for all their sacrifices for our freedom.
The Pittsburgh Penguins will wear, autograph and auction camouflage warm-up jerseys Tuesday night. Fans can place bids on these jerseys starting Tuesday night through November 27th at

. Proceeds benefit the Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania.
Fans are encouraged to visit the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum exhibit that will be located in the Highmark Wall of Champions hallway (behind Section 112). The display will be a timeline that will include uniforms, medals, posters and other military artifacts from Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korean Conflict, Vietnam, Cold War and post 9-11 veterans. The "highlight" of the display will be a uniform and medals from Vietnam Veteran, Medal of Honor recipient and Pittsburgh native William Prom. The items will be on display until the end of the 2nd intermission.
Members of the Pittsburgh Penguins Ice Crew will wear "Rags of Honor" apparel during the game on Tuesday night. The organization provides employment and services to homeless veterans. A portion of the proceeds from Rags of Honor merchandise sold on Tuesday at PensGear will benefit the Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania and their housing assistance program for local veterans.
Live Painting Experience
Be sure to visit the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation's Silent Auction area located outside of the KeyBank Club to watch artist Cody Sabol create a painting of iconic Penguins players and moments - live and in person! The unique piece, which he will create on-site starting at 6:20 pm Tuesday, will be up for auction until the end of the second intermission! For the safety of all guests, fans will be required to pass through walk-through metal detectors upon entering PPG Paints Arena. Only small personal bags (purses, baby or diaper bags, etc.) will be permitted inside the building and all items are subject to searches upon entrance. Large bags, coolers, backpacks and sealed packages of any kind are not permitted. In addition, PPG Paints Arena allows only small, personal still-cameras equipped with a 3 inch lens or smaller.
