After becoming the first team to clinch a spot in the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Nashville Predators will try for a clean sweep of another road trip tonight when they meet the Sabres in Buffalo. The Preds have collected victories over Arizona and Colorado thus far on the trip, and the win on Friday night in Denver punched Nashville's ticket to the postseason.
The Predators have set a franchise record with points in 14 consecutive road games, and they'll try to rewrite another record tonight as they look for points in 15 consecutive contests overall, with former Preds Assistant Coach Phil Housley, now the head coach in Buffalo, and the Sabres in their way.
And although they worked together during the past three seasons, Preds Head Coach Peter Laviolette doesn't expect a carbon copy of Nashville's game plan from his former assistant.
