The Buffalo Sabres today announced that the Buffalo Sabres Foundation will donate $50,000 toward community relief efforts in response to the blizzard that hit Western New York on December 23.
The Buffalo Sabres Foundation will donate $10,000 to each of the following organizations, all of which are providing critical services in response to the blizzard:

Buffalo City Mission,which provides emergency shelter, meals, and recovery programs to homeless men, women, and children in Western New York.
Eight Days of Hope, which has provided food, diapers, formula, and other non-perishables to families and individuals affected by the blizzard.
FeedMore WNY,which exists to offer dignity, hope, and a brighter future by providing nutritious food, friendship, and skills training to those in need in Western New York.
Friends of Night People, which helps the poor, homeless, and destitute in Buffalo by providing food, clothing, medical care, and counseling to those in need.
Salvation Army of Buffalo, which offers more than a dozen services to people in need including Emergency Family Assistance and Emergency Shelter.
"We are very proud to lend our support to these outstanding organizations who are providing critical services and resources to our community as we continue to deal with the effects of this tragic storm," said Rich Jureller, president of the Buffalo Sabres Foundation. "We are committed to doing our part in helping Western New York citizens, many of whom rely on these organizations for support, recover from this storm. We are grateful for the efforts of our first responders and heartbroken for those we have lost."
