Kyle Okposo scored his 20th goal of the season to ignite a four-goal second period for the Sabres, who erased multiple deficits in a 4-3 win over the Philadelphia Flyers at KeyBank Center on Saturday.
Rasmus Dahlin, Vinnie Hinostroza, and Tage Thompson also scored goals for the Sabres. Craig Anderson made 18 saves.
Martin Jones made 25 saves for the Flyers, who received goals from Joel Farabee, Owen Tippett, and Travis Konecny.
The Sabres erased second-period deficits of 2-0 and 3-2. They finished with a 29-21 edge in shots.

How it happened

Philadelphia struck early with a pair of goals on the rush, scored 2:14 apart by Farabee and Tippett.
The Sabres answered with a second period in which they outscored the Flyers, 4-1, and outshot them, 18-4. Okposo, who had left the game in the first period after taking a shot off his body, kicked off the run with a power-play goal just 3:17 into the period.
The goals kept coming from there. Jeff Skinner danced through all five Flyers defenders before setting up a one-time goal from Dahlin, which tied the score at 2-2. Vinnie Hinostroza chased down a rebound in the slot to erase a 3-2 deficit after Konecny scored for the Flyers.
Thompson buried a power-play goal from the left circle, his 34th of the season, to give the Sabres their first lead with 2:02 remaining in the period.
Buffalo killed three penalties during the third period to preserve the victory.

Worth a mention

• Okposo reached the 20-goal mark for the third time in his career and the first time as a member of the Sabres. He has eight power-play goals, one shy of the career high he set in 2008-09.
• Dahlin notched his 11th goal of the season, the most by a Sabres defenseman since Jordan Leopold had 13 in 2010-11.
• Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was in attendance. He received a loud ovation upon being shown on the video board during the first period.

Roll the highlight film

Skinner caused one defender to lose his stick, then drew the attention of four others before making the pass to set up Dahlin's one-time goal during the second period:
