Buffalo Sabres prospect Devon Levi has won the Mike Richter Award, given annually to the top goaltender in college hockey.
Levi, 20, led the nation with a .952 save percentage, the second-best mark in NCAA history. He tied for second in shutouts (11) and third in goals-against average. He was also named First Team All-American and won the Tim Taylor Award as college hockey's top rookie.
The goaltender informed the Sabres he will return for his junior season at Northeastern University in 2022-23.

"He's such a mature kid the way he looks at it," general manager Kevyn Adams said. "And one of the things he said that I found interesting is that, 'I wanted to feel that pressure every day of people looking at me like I'm a top guy,' which is a pretty interesting way to look at it."

The Sabres acquired Levi, a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NHL draft, from the Florida Panthers last July as part of the return for forward Sam Reinhart.
Levi had not played a game for Northeastern University as a freshman due to an injury but turned heads with his record-setting performance for Team Canada at the World Junior Championship, where he posted a .964 save percentage in seven games and won silver.
"I think that tournament was a huge confidence boost," Levi told Sabres.com earlier this season. "Going in I knew that I could perform at the level that I did, but I just never had the opportunity to showcase them on a level like that. I was just having so much fun while doing it, and I think that was my recipe of success."
Levi was recognized as Hockey East Player of the Week on six different occasions this season. He was a top-10 finalist for the Hobey Baker Award, given to the top player in college hockey.
