The Buffalo Sabres have recalled forward Lukas Rousek from the Rochester Americans, the team announced Saturday.
Rousek, 23, ranks second on the Amerks with 48 points (15+33) in 61 games this season. He tallied four goals and five assists during a five-game point streak earlier this month.
The Sabres visit the New York Islanders tonight at 5 p.m. The team was without forwards Jordan Greenway (upper body) and Vinnie Hinostroza (personal matter) for its 5-4 win against the Devils on Friday. Tage Thompson left in the first period following a collision with Devils forward Timo Meier but returned in the second and finished the game.

"He will definitely be a question mark," Sabres coach Don Granato said postgame in regard to Thompson's status against the Islanders.
Granato is scheduled to address the media on Long Island around 3:30 p.m.
Rousek has been a consistent producer for the Amerks in his first full North American season. He signed his two-year, entry-level contract prior to last season but missed most of the year with a knee injury. He made his debut AHL late in the regular season and had six points in 10 playoff games.
The winger was a standout as a veteran on the Sabres' Prospects Challenge roster this fall and had an assist in a preseason win over the Flyers.
"He's very intelligent as a player with many respects, but situational awareness, he's efficient and effective," Granato said in September. "If he needs to block a shot, he reads it. If you need a good stick, good angle, he reads it if a guy's open after he steals the puck.
"So, he's got a knack and a feel for the game combined with a competitiveness that just keep him in it. And he makes the job easier for other guys, for linemates. A lot of detail in his game."
Rousek was a sixth-round pick by the Sabres in 2019. He played four pro seasons in Czechia prior to signing his entry-level contract in April 2021.
