Highlights from the 2017-18 promotional schedule

The Buffalo Sabres released their promotional calendar for the 2017-18 season on Tuesday morning, including eight giveaways set to be paired with returning theme nights, fan events and ticket offers at KeyBank Center.
Here are some of the games you'll want to keep an eye on this season.

October 5 vs. Montreal - Opening Night presented by KeyBank (T-shirt Giveaway)
Commemorative T-shirts will be waiting for you on your seat when you arrive to watch the Sabres open their season against the Canadiens. Be there to see Phil Housley's first game as coach as he and the Sabres look to open the season on a strong note.
October 9 vs. New Jersey - Kids Day presented by Perry's Ice Cream (Magnet Schedule Giveaway)
We'll be handing out magnet schedules ahead of this 3 p.m. matinee against the Devils, which doubles as out first "Kids Day" game of the season. Buy one full-price 300 Level II Ticket and you will be able to purchase up to four additional kids tickets (up to age 15) for $15 each.

October 20 vs. Vancouver - First Family Pack Offer
This Friday-night matchup with the Canucks will mark the first of 11 "Family Pack" games in 2017-18. For $199, get four 300-Level tickets, four hot dogs, four bags of popcorn and four sodas. Additional tickets can be added at a discounted cost.

October 28 vs. San Jose - One Buffalo Weekend/"Sabres Style" Presented by Coca-Cola
This weekend is your chance to catch the Sabres and Bills at home on back-to-back days. Watch the Sabres host the San Jose Sharks at 1 p.m. on Saturday, then head over to New Era Field to catch the Bills against the Oakland Raiders at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
This game will also mark the first "Sabres Style Girls Night Out" of the season. Those who participate will get to mingle with Sabres alumni at a pregame brunch and greet the Sabres outside their dressing room when the players take the ice between periods as part of the Gold Carpet Experience.

November 10 vs. Florida - Military Appreciation Night (Dog Tag Giveaway)
Join us as we honor those who protect our country at our annual Military Appreciation Night. Fans in attendance will receive commemorative dog tags, and the Sabres will wear special camouflage sweaters on the ice during warmups.
November 18 vs. Carolina - Hockey Fights Cancer Night presented by Roswell Park (Purple Scarf Giveaway)
Hockey Fights Cancer Night always proves to be a special time at KeyBank Center, and this year fans in attendance can commemorate the night with a purple scarf, courtesy of Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Come down and tell us who you're fighting for!
January 20 vs. Dallas - Drawstring Backpack Giveaway presented by BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York
This 1 p.m. game against the Stars is another "Kids Day" at KeyBank Center, and this time children in attendance will receive Sabres drawstring backpacks courtesy of BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York.
February 6 vs. Anaheim - You Can Play Night
February in the NHL is "Hockey is for Everyone Month," and we'll kick it off with "You Can Play Night" on this Tuesday night against the Ducks. It will be a night dedicated to advocating for the inclusion, acceptance and respect of LGBTQ athletes.
February 19 vs. Washington - Winter Classic Jersey Towel Giveaway
Fans in attendance will receive rally towels resembling the jerseys that the Sabres are wearing against the New York Rangers at the 2018 Bridgestone Winter Classic at Citi Field on Jan. 1.

March 17 vs. Chicago - St. Patrick's Day Game (Koozie Giveaway)
The Sabres will wear green jerseys during warmups and fans in attendance will receive green Sabres koozies as we celebrate St. Patrick's Day at KeyBank Center for this 1 p.m. matchup with South Buffalo's Patrick Kane and the Chicago Blackhawks.
April 4 - Fan Appreciation Night presented by ADPRO Sports (Bobblehead Giveaway)
This night is all about you. We'll be giving away commemorative bobbleheads to go along with giveaways throughout the night and the annual "Jersey Off My Back" ceremony, in which fans are selected to come to the ice following the game and receive a game-worn jersey directly from one of the Sabres players.
