Redmond (6'2", 212 lbs., 7/26/1988) joins the Sabres for the second time this season after appearing in two games for the team following a recall on Oct. 21. With five points (1+4) through seven AHL games in 2017-18, the defenseman ranks fourth among all Rochester skaters with .71 points per game.
Selected by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round (184th overall) of the 2008 NHL Draft, Redmond has now appeared in parts of six NHL seasons, totaling 38 points (9+29) and a plus-10 rating in 132 games with the Sabres, the Montreal Canadiens, the Colorado Avalanche and the Winnipeg Jets. The Traverse City, Michigan native has recorded 105 points (30+75) in 197 career regular-season AHL games, adding 19 points (4+15) in 35 AHL postseason contests.
In a corresponding move, the Sabres have placed forward Justin Bailey on injured reserve.
