Lots going on at tonight's game including Chris Phillips' pre-game jersey retirement ceremony before the Sens host the Buffalo Sabres at 7:30 p.m.
4 Ever A Sen
It'll be a historic night before puck drop as the Ottawa Senators will officially retire Chris Phillips' iconic #4 tonight. Fans are being asked to be in their seats by 6:30 p.m. and it'd be a good idea to factor in some additional time in case the weather or traffic cause some travel delays. Need another reason to get here early? The first 10,000 fans through the gate will also receive a mini replica of the Phillips banner that will be raised to the rafters tonight. Also be sure to check out the Ottawa Senators Foundation 50/50 draw tonight that features a sweet secondary prize that includes a signed commemorative banner, a signed jersey and a picture with Phillips in front of his banner.

Line-up notes
Just one change to the Sens' line-up tonight and that's a result of a trade that sent Dylan DeMelo to the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for a 2020 third-round pick. With DeMelo dealt, the Sens have recalled defenceman Andreas Englund from Belleville and it's expected he'll slot in tonight against the Sabres.

There was a new face at practice as Jayce Hawryluk joined his new team on the ice for the first time since being claimed off waivers from the Florida Panthers yesterday. Hawryluk, a 2nd round pick in 2014, has appeared in 15 games with the Panthers this year and is excited to fight for a role on a young Senators team duing the final 20+ games of the season. "I'm excited for the opportunity and showing them what I'm capable of," said Hawryluk. "I'm looking forward to getting things going here."

Jayce Hawryluk talks about being acquired by the Sens
We'll have to wait for confirmation on tonight's starting goalie but Craig Anderson (8-13-2) was in the starter's end at today's skate so it's likely he'll get the start after a solid 36-save effort in Sunday night's overtime win against the Stars. Here's a look at the Sens' projected line-up against Buffalo: Tkachuk - Pageau - Duclair Namestnikov - Tierney - Brown Ennis - White - Batherson Paul - Anisimov - Sabourin Chabot - Hainsey Reilly - Zaitsev Englund - Goloubef
Previous meeting
These teams last met on Jan. 28th in Buffalo where the Sens rattled off 3 unanswered goals in the third period to beat the Sabres 5-2. 4 of the Sens' 5 goals were scored by their special teams including 3 on the man advantage from Jean-Gabriel Pageau, Tyler Ennis and Mike Reilly. Anderson was steady in goal stopping 28 of the 30 shots he faced to earn the decision. Full highlights from that game below:
