Why mobile tickets?

As we continue to reduce our carbon footprint, print less paper and reduce waste, increase convenience to manage tickets, and minimize person-to-person contact, we will continue to issue mobile tickets going forward. Mobile tickets: 

  • Prioritize your health and the health of everyone in the arena by reducing person-to-person contact 

  • Provide quick and easy entry to Canadian Tire Centre using your mobile phone or smart device 

  • Provide instant access to your season tickets through the official Ottawa Senators app or My Sens Account 

  • Enable you to manage, send or sell your tickets at any time 

  • Reduce the risk of lost, stolen, counterfeit or forgotten tickets 

  • Provide an easy way to go green by printing less paper

What is Mobile Entry?

With Mobile Entry you use the Sens mobile app or My Sens Account on your mobile device to access your tickets and scan into the event. No paper tickets are issued for mobile entry.  

Safetix are powered by a unique barcode that automatically refreshes every 15 seconds. This greatly reduces the risk of ticket fraud from stolen or illegal counterfeit tickets. If you take a close look at your ticket, you may notice that it has a gliding movement, making it in a sense, alive. That movement is our ticket technology actively working to safeguard you and your tickets. Tickets saved to your wallet are tap enabled and will not present a barcode.

Can I still use a screenshot of my ticket?

No, your barcode includes leading-edge technology with fraud and counterfeit protection, so you won't be able to use screenshots or printouts. Your phone is your ticket, which you show to the ticket taker to have scanned for entry.

How much does the app cost?

The app and mobile ticketing are FREE. There are no costs associated with managing your tickets on your smartphone, including accessing tickets for mobile entry, forwarding tickets or selling tickets online.

How do i access my mobile tickets?
  1. Open the Sens app or visit My Sens Account using your mobile internet 

  2. For quick access, select Ticket Management or Manage My Tickets and login using your My Sens Account credentials 

  3. Locate the event 

  4. Tap and show your phone to be scanned for entry. 

Tip for fast and efficient use: Add your ticket(s) to your phones wallet in advance of arriving at the venue and have a fully charged battery.

Can I print my tickets from home?

No, all tickets are fully digital. Digital tickets are only accessible via your mobile device and are powered by a new and unique barcode which automatically refreshes every 15 seconds, keeping your tickets safe and secure. Your phone is your ticket, which you show to the ticket taker to have scanned for entry.

What happens if my ticket doesn't scan properly?

We recommend turning your screen brightness to the highest setting. If that doesn't work, your ticket can be validated by having the ticket taker manually enter your ticket number directly into the scanner.

What if I lose connectivity/can't connect to my accounts at Canadian Tire Centre?

To ensure seamless entry, we highly recommend downloading your tickets to your phone's digital wallet before arriving at the event. If you have an iPhone, you can store your tickets in your Apple Wallet. If you are an Android user, you can save your tickets to your phone through Google Pay.

I don't have a data plan. How will I access my tickets?

For ease of access, we suggest you add your tickets to your ticket wallet in advance of your arrival at Canadian Tire Centre and ensure your smartphone battery is fully charged to ensure a smooth, swift entry. Limited wi-fi will be available at all gates to retrieve mobile tickets by accessing "mobile ticketing" on your smartphone. Public wi-fi is not available in the parking lots. Mobile parking vouchers must be downloaded in advance of arrival at Canadian Tire Centre if you are without a data plan.

How do I access my parking vouchers?

Access parking vouchers the same way you access your mobile tickets. Please note: public wi-fi is not available in the parking lots at Canadian Tire Centre. For ease of access we suggest you add your parking vouchers to your ticket wallet in advance of your arrival at Canadian Tire Centre and ensure your smartphone battery is fully charged to ensure a smooth, swift entry.

When should I download my tickets?

We recommend that you view and add your tickets to your phone's wallet at least 48 hours before the event.  

Please note: transferring/reselling tickets stored in your wallet will invalidate the barcode on the original ticket. Tickets should be removed from your wallet upon transferring/reselling to avoid duplicates showing up at the gates.

Can I have multiple tickets on a single phone?

Yes, however, we recommend transferring each attendee their individual ticket, especially necessary if you are not arriving/entering together. Emailed screenshots of tickets will not work, tickets must be transferred through the mobile app.

What if my entire party isn't with me when I'm ready to enter?

You can easily send each member their ticket using the transfer functionality available through the mobile app.

How do I send a ticket?

It's easy! Using the Sens mobile app or My Sens Account: 

  • Select Ticket Management or Manage My Tickets, then tap the event you'd like to transfer tickets for 

  • Tap Transfer, select the ticket/s you'd like to send, and enter the recipient's info 

  • We'll send an email to your recipient prompting them to accept their tickets.

Does the person(s) I send the ticket(s) to need an account?

Yes, if they don't have one already they will create one during the acceptance process.

What if I forwarded tickets to the wrong person, can I recall the tickets?

Yes, you can reclaim tickets as long as they haven't already been accepted by the recipient.

Can ticket holders transfer the tickets after the event has started?Y

Yes, however, you cannot sell tickets after the event has begun.

How do I sell a ticket?

Selling tickets is super easy and safe and can be done in just a few steps:  

  • In your app, select Ticket Management or Manage My Tickets to view your ticket 

  • Select the tickets you'd like to sell and enter your asking price 

  • Next, select your payment method 

  • Tap Sell Tickets and you're all set. Your tickets will be listed and we'll let you know as soon as they sell.

Is my personal information secure when selling a ticket?

Yes, our venue is PCI compliant, giving you the highest available security to ensure that your credit card and account password are all well protected.
