SAN JOSE, CA - The San Jose Sharks (

"The San Jose Sharks are pleased to be able to partner with the County of Santa Clara Registrar of Voters to make SAP Center available as a ballot drop-off location," said Sharks president Jonathan Becher. "All citizens should have a voice in determining the future leadership of this country. The easiest way to be heard is to cast a ballot during the election."
The Sharks originally inquired about becoming a polling location for the election. However, after discussions with representatives from the County, it was determined that with the large parking area offered at SAP Center, the venue would be more effectively utilized as a drive-up and contactless delivery location.
"We are happy to have the SAP Center as a drive up and drop off location for your ballot," said Registrar of Voters Shannon Bushey, "This is a great central location for the voters of our county."
"The SAP Center drop-off Voting Center is going to give Santa Clara County residents the ease and convenience of dropping off their ballots at a central location and the confidence of knowing their ballots are delivered," added Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors President Cindy Chavez. "We very much appreciate the Sharks and the Shark Tank for supporting the right for all Americans to vote."
Additionally, the Sharks, SAP, and County of Santa Clara anticipate a large voter turnout this year and would like to encourage all eligible residents to volunteer at a Vote Center. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, click

We are thrilled that the SAP Center will play a role in helping our San Jose neighbors cast their ballots in a safe and accessible manner. We applaud the County of San Clara Registrar of Voters and the San Jose Sharks for their efforts to ensure that every voter has the opportunity to make their vote count in the 2020 election this November," added Kevin Richards, Vice President, Head of SAP U.S. Government Affairs.
