FRISCO, Texas- Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has acquired a fifth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft from New Jersey in exchange for defenseman Colin Miller.

Miller, 30, skated in 79 of 82 regular-season games for Dallas during the 2022-23 campaign, recording 21 points (6-15-21) and a +23 rating. He also appeared in 10 Stanley Cup Playoff games for the Stars in 2023, recording one assist (0-1-1).

Originally selected by Los Angeles in the fifth round (151st overall) in the 2012 NHL Draft, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound blueliner has amassed 157 points (35-122-157) in 466 career regular-season contests with Dallas, Buffalo, Vegas and Boston. He's also earned 12 points (4-8-12) in 40 postseason games with Dallas, Vegas and Boston.
