RELEASE: Blackhawks Launch NFT Collection Inspired by Retro 8-Bit Gaming

The Chicago Blackhawks today announced the team's first officially licensed Non-Fungible Token (NFT) Collection comprised of 12 hockey character cards and 2,000 digital tickets all inspired by retro 8-bit gaming graphics.
Minted on the blockchain, these digital collectibles have just been unveiled on BlackhawksNFT.com and are available for direct purchase through sweet.io/Blackhawks with both fixed price and auction-based options for fans new to the NFT market and crypto enthusiasts alike. In addition to finding nods to Blackhawks fandom across designs, select NFTs are also paired with physical items or special access to exclusive experiences.

Character Cards(60 NFTs available)

This team of NFTs is comprised of 12 hockey characters, each with a unique name, description and set of attributes inspired by Blackhawks history, the city of Chicago, the United Center and the great game of hockey. Six characters adorn the Blackhawks home red jerseys while the other six wear the team's road whites to complete a full on-ice lineup of 10 skaters and two goalies.
Five editions of each character card are available via auction, with the first edition to exclusively feature a unique animation specific to that character. Winning bidders of the first editions of both Captain cards (Grant 'Champ' Parker and Madison 'Maddy' Houser) will also receive two tickets to a Blackhawks game during the 2021-22 season and a custom Blackhawks jersey.

Digital Tickets(2,000 NFTs available)

These collectible 8-bit digital tickets serve as an alternative option for fans, with 2,000 total NFTs available for purchase. Four different ticket editions (500 of each design) are on sale for $30 each on a first-come, first-serve basis. Purchasers who buy all four ticket editions will unlock a bonus 'Golden Ticket'.
All sales and/or bids will close on Tuesday, August 31 at 10 p.m. CT, or once the individual series is sold out. Buyers can pay with a credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or cryptocurrency through Coinbase.
