The most excited person in a Tampa Bay Lightning jersey during the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs was wearing a youth-sized jersey.
Griffin Perry, the 5-year-old son of Lightning forward Corey Perry, brought the energy during the team's home games this postseason, serving as "Thunder Kid" before Game 3 of the Eastern Conference First Round against the Tortonto Maple Leafs at Amalie Arena. But, even better, he was mic'd up.
The Lightning shared the super-cute video on Friday. It shows Griffin conversing with anyone and everyone at every turn, from Carter Stamkos [Steven's son] to Hunter Bogosian [Zach's son] to shouting the name of each and every Lightning player. It's a cute video from start to finish and the logical conclusion is that Griffin Perry may just need his own TV show.
