Hockey Fights Cancer™ is an initiative founded in December 1998 by the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players' Association to raise money and awareness for hockey's most important fight. Detroit Red Wings players, fans and staff raise thousands of dollars toward supporting pediatric cancer research in partnership with Comerica Bank each November.

The American Cancer Society takes a comprehensive approach to supporting those affected by childhood cancer by funding research, advocating for government policies that improve access to quality care for all children, and providing trusted information, guidance, and support for patients and their families.
