"I think if take less penalties, to start. Maybe not last game, but games before on that trip, we made some turnovers and mistakes that cost us games and we've got to limit those. Less penalties, less turnovers."
"We all know we've got to win tonight"
KADRI ON MOOD IN THE ROOM:
"Just try and keep a positive mindset. That's the approach. We feel like we're playing some good hockey, but not getting the results we want. It's time to try and change that tonight."
ON PLAYING WELL LATELY:
"There's no moral victories in here. We've got high standards and we understand, but at the end of the day, you've got to call it like it is and every single loss we've had has been a one-goal game excluding empty nets. We've been right in it. A bounce here and there changes the outcome of the game and we've got to be on the positive, receiving end of those."
ON HOW TO TURN THE TIDE:
"You just try and lead the way, lead by example, try to be vocal in the dressing room. It starts with going out there and taking care of business yourself and showing everybody you're all in. One thing I know about this league is that there's not one team that's the same team in November as they are in March and April. And that goes for everybody. ... That's what our plan."
"We feel like we're playing some good hockey"
SUTTER ON NO SILVER LININGS:
"You've got to get points. You can be happy with your effort, but that gets... Our focus has to be to get back to .500 and push for a playoff spot again. That's pretty clear. In terms of the trip, we got one point out of six and thought we played better in the last game than we did the first game, but you've got to get results. You've got to have a difference-maker."
ON GENERATING ENOUGH OFFENSIVELY:
"Scoring chances are, in terms of that, are fine, I think. But you've got to finish, too. In the Boston game, we talked about the guys that were on the trip, we had three empty nets. Like, you've got to shoot it in the empty net. That, alone... That's with the guys you want to have that shot, too."
"Our focus has to be to get back to .500"
ON WHAT NEEDS TO IMPROVE:
"The two areas that we clearly have to get better at as a team are, No. 1 is our team save percentage, and No. 2 is our shooting percentage. They're the two things that are at the bottom of the league, so that's how you get back to .500."
