The clip was shot Tuesday, where the dapper dressed duo did not stay dry.
"We did [get wet] a little bit," Backstrom told NHL.com. "I thought we were going to get more wet."
Ovechkin was caught swimming in a fountain in Washington, D.C. two days after the Capitals won the Cup, and said Backstrom was instrumental in convincing him to do so.
But they weren't going to go swimming in Vegas.
"We thought about [jumping in], but we can't," Ovechkin said.
"Someone told us we would get arrested," Backstrom said.
