Rodrigues fam tradition

The Rodrigues family is making memories that will last a lifetime.

Evan Rodrigues and his two sons, Grayson and Noah, have started a special pregame tradition before every home Colorado Avalanche game at Ball Arena.
Noah and Grayson watch the Avalanche forward warm up by the glass before the game. Rodrigues then tries to shoot a puck through the camera hole for his sons to have.

Rodrigues only makes three attempts to flip the puck in the hole. If he doesn't get it, he then lifts a puck and puts it through the camera hole for his sons to take.

"You know it puts me in a great mood before every game seeing them and giving them a puck and kind of creating that tradition," Rodrigues said in a video posted by the Avalanche on Twitter. "It's been really cool having them being a part of it."

According to Rodrigues' wife, Christina, their boys love to play with the pucks and can recall what happened in each game the pucks are from.
"I know that them getting so excited to get this puck before every game has nothing to do with the fact that Evan is an NHL hockey player," Christina said in the Avalanche's video. "They're just thrilled because he's their dad."
