In celebration of the 2021 Stanley Cup playoffs, "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon" made some jokes at the expense of some NHL players on his late-night comedy show Thursday.

Fallon picked out some headshots of a handful of of players from playoff teams and cracked wise about everything from the youthful looks of Montreal Canadiens forward Cole Caufield and Colorado Avalanche forward Alex Newhook to the serious stare on Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman.

The comedian identified the team and position of each player before pulling out some comically fabricated information, like saying Winnipeg Jets defenseman Jordie Benn looks like a mountain man who cooks roadkill.
Avalanche forwards J.T. Compher and Logan O'Connor and Canadiens defenseman Jon Merrill also didn't escape the comedian's cracks.
The Avalanche jokingly replied on Twitter that they learned some new things about their own players from the show.

The bit, called "Fast Stats" was a slightly different format from Fallon's popular
"NHL Superlatives"
from year's past.
