The Anaheim Ducks goalie made an appearance at the Angels' game against the New York Yankees on Monday and set up behind the plate rocking a star-studded mask and his goalie catcher. CEO of ocV!BE, Tim Ryan, threw the pitch.
The mask, by Shell Shock Designs, featured Angels superstars Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout, as well as the numbers of team legends such as Rod Carew, Nolan Ryan and Jimmie Reese. Tributes to country music legend and the team's original owner, Gene Autry, and Jackie Robinson were also on the mask.
On top was a line from the 1994 film, "Angels in the Outfield." In the scene, Joseph Gordon-Leavitt's character Roger Bomman is standing with Danny Glover, who plays Angels outfielder George Knox. The two are unenthusiastically posing for the camera when the photographer remarks, "Looks like a prison photo."

And apparently Trout was a fan, taking some time out to examine all the details in the dugout while wearing Gibson's catcher.

Bally Sports West's Jose Mota interviewed Gibson during the broadcast to learn about the Pittsburgh native's baseball roots. Gibson talked about playing baseball when he was younger and gave a shoutout to some of his favorite Pittsburgh Pirates players.
