LAK@ANA: Henrique taps in Zegas set-up for OT winner

ANAHEIM --Adam Henrique scored at 3:00 of overtime, and the Anaheim Ducks recovered for a 6-5 win against the Los Angeles Kings at Honda Center on Monday.

Henrique won it when he skated in on a 2-on-1 and finished a pass from rookie Trevor Zegras.
"Such a great unselfish play by [Zegras]," Ducks coach Dallas Eakins said. "There's a young man looking for his first (NHL) goal and instead of wiring it, he makes the play backdoor to win the game."
Rickard Rakell had two goals and an assist, Max Comtois had three assists, and John Gibson made 21 saves for Anaheim (8-12-6), which has won two in a row after losing its previous nine games (0-6-3).

Adrian Kempe had a hat trick, and Cal Petersen made 19 saves for Los Angeles (10-8-6), which has lost five of its past six games (1-2-3).
"Tonight, we're really disappointed with the mistakes," Kings coach Todd McLellan said. "Six goals against is your answer. We had some dismal performances by some individuals, yet there were others that had great games."
Andreas Athanasiou cut it to 5-4 at 1:18 of the third period.
Drew Doughty appeared to score on a point shot with 4:51 remaining, but the goal was waved off after the officials determined Dustin Brown interfered with Gibson.
However, Kempe completed his second NHL hat trick when he tipped in another point shot by Doughty to tie it 5-5 with 2:32 left in the third.

Kevin Shattenkirk scored for the second straight game after going the first 24 without a goal to give the Ducks a 1-0 lead at 2:45 of the first period. He received a drop pass from Isac Lundestrom near the blue line and deked Kempe before scoring from the right circle on Anaheim's first shot of the game.
Kempe converted a one-timer from the slot six seconds after a power play ended to tie it 1-1 at 9:45, but Rakell scored from in close to give Anaheim a 2-1 lead at 16:46.
"It feels really good to be on the winning side these last two games," said Rakell, whose goal was his 300th NHL point. "Hopefully, we can just keep it going."
Brown scored his seventh power-play goal of season to tie it 2-2 at 1:01 of the second period.
Ben Hutton scored his first goal of the season to give the Ducks a 3-2 lead at 8:30, and Jakob Silfverberg followed with a shorthanded goal on a 2-on-1 to make it 4-2 at 14:04.

Kempe scored on a one-timer on the power play to cut it to 4-3 at 16:28. He has seven points (five goals, two assists) in the past five games.
"We weren't really on our toes early," Kempe said. "I think that's something we've got to clean up and get better at, especially the last couple games. A good team will come from behind, but we have to learn to have a good start and play with a lead as well."
Rakell scored his second goal on a backhand in front of the net to push the lead to 5-3 at 18:15 of the second. Rakell, who had seven points (one goal, six assists) in the first 20 games this season, has 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in a six-game point streak.
"He's just slowly been chipping away at it," Eakins said. "Ricky was very, very upset. He takes it personally. He's got really high standards for himself and, for whatever reason, that puck wasn't going in the net for him early."
NOTES: Doughty had two assists to give him 400 in the NHL. ... Ducks forward Troy Terry left after the first period because of an upper-body injury, and defenseman Josh Manson left during the second period because of a lower-body injury. Eakins did not have an update on either player. ... Anaheim has scored at least five goals in each of the past two games after failing to do so in its first 24 games. … Ryan Getzlaf had the secondary assist on Rakell's first goal, his 699th in the NHL.
