Kaprizov has goal, assist, Wild end Senators' four-game winning streak

OTTAWA -- Kirill Kaprizov had a goal and an assist, and the Minnesota Wild extended their point streak to four games with a 4-2 win against the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre on Thursday.

"I really liked the way that all four lines contributed in their own way," Minnesota coach Dean Evason said, "but yet they all contributed in the same way as far as doing the right things -- getting pucks deep, staying on the right side, not allowing odd-man rushes. I don't remember an odd-man rush tonight. We were committed to doing the right things."
Mats Zuccarello and Ryan Hartman each scored, and Marc-Andre Fleury made 27 saves for the Wild (3-3-1), who extended their point streak to four games (3-0-1).
"[Fleury] made some huge saves when he needed to, to keep the momentum going in our direction," Evason said. "We just talked about how calm he looked. Obviously, he makes acrobatic saves, but for the most part, it's a calming effect on our group."

Alex DeBrincat had a goal and an assist, and Anton Forsberg made 35 saves for the Senators (4-3-0), who had won four in a row.
"We were late to piles, we didn't make many plays," Ottawa coach D.J. Smith said. "We didn't break out clean. We just weren't sharp."
DeBrincat gave the Senators a 1-0 lead at 3:47 of the first period when he one-timed a loose puck in the slot.
"He's starting to really jump on pucks," Smith said of DeBrincat. "He's shooting. He could've had three or four [goals] tonight, and there'll be a night soon where it goes in."

Fleury robbed DeBrincat of a sure goal with 16 seconds left in the first when he flashed his glove hand and left the forward looking skyward.
The two were teammates with the Chicago Blackhawks last season before Fleury was traded to the Wild on March 21.
"He got that first one, so I owed him," Fleury said. "Sometimes it's worse when it's guys that you played with, right? You kind of know their tendencies, but they know that you know, right? So, they switch it up or whatever. I just tried to react and stay patient. But he's obviously a very talented player.
"I was in trouble there. As a goalie, to me, those are the fun saves to make. You see the players maybe put their head back or they get mad. Those are the fun ones."

Zuccarello's wrist shot from the top of the left face-off circle beat a screened Forsberg on the power play to tie it 1-1 at 7:53.
Kaprizov made it 2-1 at 18:24 when he redirected Jared Spurgeon's shot from the point.
Hartman made it 3-1 at 4:25 of the second with a wrist shot from the slot into the top left corner.
"They came out hard [in the second]," Forsberg said. "We know how they play; they play hard and spend a lot of time in our zone and throw a lot of pucks at the net. I didn't think I did quite a good job myself to have those rebounds. There were a bit too many for me I think. I want to hold on to those to give the guys a break, so I'm not really happy with that."

Thomas Chabot one-timed a cross-ice pass from DeBrincat on a 5-on-3 power play to cut it to 3-2 at 4:03 of the third period.
"Obviously it's frustrating when you feel like there are some calls you don't get," Zuccarello said. "Right there, in the heat of the moment, it's frustrating. But I think the guys on the penalty kill] just kept it calm. Unbelievable [penalty kill
