Pittsburgh Penguins

Tristan Jarry will return for the Penguins when they host the New York Islanders on Monday (7 p.m. ET; ATTSN-PT, MSGSN, ESPN+, SN NOW).
The goalie has been out with an upper-body injury since Jan. 22. Jarry was a full participant in Pittsburgh's morning skate Monday.
"I just think his conditioning has gotten better, his timing," coach Mike Sullivan said. "His conditioning, his timing, his ability to track the puck, all of that, gets better with each session that he has. Everyone feels strongly that he's in a position, right now, where he can help us."
After missing practice to attend a doctor's appointment, Jarry traveled to New York with the Penguins later Thursday. He was held out of a 5-4 loss at the Islanders on Friday and a 5-2 home loss to the New Jersey Devils on Saturday.
Jarry has been sidelined 16 of the past 18 games since sustaining a lower-body injury in the 2023 Discover NHL Winter Classic in Boston on Jan. 2. The Penguins are 7-6-3 in the 16 games without Jarry.
Backup goalie Casey DeSmith has made 14 starts since Jan. 5, allowing at least five goals five times.
Jarry was out seven games before returning on Jan. 20, making 44 saves in a 4-1 win against the Ottawa Senators and 23 saves in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Devils on Jan. 22 but missed the next nine games. He is 16-5-5 with a 2.65 goals-against average and .921 save percentage this season. -- Wes Crosby
