The Oilers will likely get an important veteran presence back in their lineup tomorrow night against the Dallas Stars, as Matt Hendricks could make his season debut after suffering a lower-body injury during exhibition play.

"There's a good chance," said Head Coach Todd McLellan. "The more bodies we can get back right now, the better off it is for us for a number of different reasons… It should provide an energy boost, it should give us a different look and it should create a competitive environment within the team for ice time."
The 35-year-old forward has played 479 regular season games and 34 more in the post-season over his lengthy NHL career. Hendricks has provided the Oilers with aggressive checking, penalty killing and the occasional offensive contribution during two and a half seasons with the blue and orange.
